Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a dynamic and supportive school setting as a Speech-Language Pathologist serving students in secondary and high school, including those in secondary transition programs. This rewarding contract opportunity is located near Burnsville, MN, with a start date of August 24, 2026 and extending through June 7, 2027. You'll be working full-time, between 37.5 and 40 hours per week, supporting a caseload of approximately 50 students. Ideal candidates bring expertise working with high school and older students, with a passion for fostering communication skills and guiding young adults toward their next steps.
Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Active SLP license in Minnesota (or eligibility to obtain by the start date) SLP-CCC or CFY candidates encouraged to apply Experience (clinical or professional) working in school settings, preferably at the secondary level Strong understanding of IEP development, progress monitoring, and data-driven intervention strategies Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
Responsibilities:
Provide evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of speech, language, and communication disorders for students in high school and secondary transition Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in accordance with state and federal requirements Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student success Deliver group and individual therapy sessions based on student goals Maintain accurate records and document student progress Participate in IEP meetings, staff trainings, and professional development as required This role allows you to make a genuine impact on students' growth and confidence as they transition to adulthood.
