Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a dynamic and supportive educational environment as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) in a contract role. This opportunity allows you to utilize your expertise in speech and language therapy within the school system, supporting students of diverse ages and backgrounds. Whether you are an experienced
SLP, SLP-CFY
(Clinical Fellowship Year), teletherapist, or an SLPA transitioning from healthcare, your skills can make a real difference here.
Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or an Associate's/Bachelor's for SLPAs Active state licensure or eligibility for licensure as an SLP or SLPA Experience in educational settings or healthcare, with a focus on pediatric populations Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills Ability to work independently and adapt to changing environments, including teletherapy platforms
Responsibilities:
Assess, diagnose, and provide treatment for speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders in students Collaborate with classroom teachers, special education staff, and families to implement effective therapy plans Document progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in IEP meetings Deliver services both in-person and through teletherapy as needed Contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment, supporting student achievement
