Job Description
Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract A contract position is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide services in a school setting located in Lakeville, MN. This opportunity involves working with elementary-aged students across one or two buildings in the nearby area of Cottage Grove. The assignment runs now through June 5th, offering approximately 7.25 hours per day. Responsibilities include assessing, diagnosing, and providing therapy for students with speech and language needs. Candidates will collaborate with educators and support staff to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and support students' communication goals. The caseload will consist of around 50 elementary students requiring a range of speech-language services.
Desired qualifications and experience:
Certification as an SLP, preferably holding the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) Experience in pediatrics, with a background in school-based and healthcare settings Familiarity with educational protocols and intervention strategies tailored for children Eligibility and openness to work as a Clinical Fellow (CF) under supervision is welcomed Strong communication skills and the ability to foster positive relationships with students, families, and colleaguesLocation:
Lakeville, MN, working primarily at one or two school buildings in Cottage Grove. This contract provides an excellent opportunity for both experienced SLPs and newly credentialed candidates seeking supervised experience in a supportive school environment. The schedule is consistent, allowing for work-life balance while impacting students' communication growth.
