Job Description

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Make a meaningful impact as a Speech-Language Pathologist working full-time in a vibrant educational setting near Owatonna, MN. This contract role lets you guide communication growth for students during the 2026-2027 school year, from August 31, 2026, through June 4, 2027. With a flexible caseload potentially spanning K-12, you'll have the opportunity to work with students whose needs align with your strengths and professional interests.
Qualifications & Experience:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Active Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) Valid state licensure or eligibility to obtain credential Previous experience working within a school environment and familiarity with IEP processes highly valued Strong communication and collaboration abilities Organizational skills and a passion for advocacy in student development
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct therapy sessions to support student speech and language goals Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments for eligibility determination Collaborate as part of the IEP team to craft individualized education plans and participate in meetings Manage a caseload of speech-only students, ensuring compliance and timely documentation Consult with teachers, families, and support staff to maximize student success Adapt interventions and communication techniques based on student progress and feedback Enjoy the professional fulfillment of guiding students with diverse needs and watching them reach milestones in communication.
