Job Description

Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Step into a pivotal role supporting students' communication needs as a long-term substitute Speech Language Pathologist near Saint Paul, MN. This full-time opportunity offers two coverage windows: May 25 - June 4, 2026, and again from September through December 1, 2026. The assignment spans Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, making it an excellent fit for someone seeking consistent hours while fostering meaningful impact within a supportive school setting. What you'll bring to this role: Active Minnesota Speech Language Pathologist license (CCC-SLP preferred, depending on district) Demonstrated experience in providing school-based SLP services, with a strong grasp of IEP compliance, documentation, and therapy session scheduling Familiarity with managing therapy and evaluation services for both elementary and secondary students Ability to efficiently step into existing caseloads and deliver high-quality direct services and evaluations with minimal ramp-up Strong communication and collaborative skills to work seamlessly with multidisciplinary teams and families Knowledge of Minnesota school compliance requirements preferred What you'll be responsible for: Direct therapeutic services and comprehensive evaluations for an assigned caseload of approximately 25 speech-only students (with a service load of about 45) Participation in IEP meetings, contributing expertise in speech-language pathology for student planning and progress monitoring Accurate documentation, progress reporting, and maintaining compliance with both district and state standards Managing schedules and adapting to dynamic school environments while providing continuity of care This contract assignment is not open to virtual candidates and requires in-person service delivery.
