Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Make a lasting impact supporting students' communication, language, and learning as a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist for the 2026-2027 academic year. This contract opportunity spans August 2026 through June 2027 and is ideal for professionals passionate about helping students thrive. You'll work a blend of hours—split equally between a special education preschool and an elementary school—allowing for a dynamic caseload and the chance to support children at different developmental stages.
Qualifications and Experience:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Valid SLP license and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) required Previous experience in school-based settings strongly preferred Ability to effectively manage a diverse caseload across elementary and preschool environments Strong collaboration, documentation, and communication skills Flexibility and adaptability to support the needs of both preschool and elementary-age students
Key Responsibilities:
Assess and diagnose speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders in students Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs) Provide direct therapy services to students in both settings, targeting a variety of speech and language needs Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to maximize student progress Maintain thorough and timely records per district and state guidance Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and contribute professional expertise Enjoy the benefits of a varied school assignment, the support of a welcoming educational environment, and the rewarding nature of seeing students grow and succeed.
