Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a dynamic school-based environment near Ellsinore, MO, where your expertise as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) can make a profound impact. This full-time contract position offers an exceptional opportunity to serve a diverse caseload during the 26-27 school year (August 26-May 27). Your commitment and passion will help students from early childhood through 12th grade reach important communication milestones, with a current emphasis on early childhood and elementary students. Enjoy a balanced weekly schedule of 35 hours, working Tuesday through Friday, maximizing your long weekends and minimizing burnout. You'll have the ability to shape a supportive therapy environment while collaborating closely with families, educators, and staff.
Key Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communicative Disorders Eligibility for SLP or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY); new graduates are encouraged to apply Missouri SLP license (or eligibility to obtain) Experience or coursework in school settings preferred Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide speech, language, and communication therapy for a caseload of approximately 50 students Conduct assessments, develop and implement IEPs, and deliver individualized and group therapy sessions Work closely with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support academic and social success Maintain thorough case documentation and participate in IEP meetings Offer mentorship and support to fellow professionals, when appropriate
