QUALIFICATIONS FOR SPEECH LANGUAGE PATHOLOGIST
Masters Degree in Speech Language Pathology Fully licensed as Speech Language Pathology by the Missouri Board of Healing Arts Clean criminal and child abuse and neglect record checks
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides speech and/or language services in accordance with the student's IEP. Conducts evaluations of students with suspected speech or language delays and writes evaluation reports. Plans, writes and implements individual and group plans for students with speech or language delays who warrant therapy. Consults with teachers and parents regarding student's progress and appropriate reinforcement activities. Assists in conducting training programs for district staff and parents regarding age appropriate speech and language development. Maintains attendance, ongoing evaluation, and progress records for students. Attends IEPs, evaluation, parent and staff meetings. Participates in direct and indirect Medicaid billing and participates in Random Moment Samples. Maintains confidentiality of information gained through the performance and location of the position. Teaches students to use technology as an instructional tool dealing with communication. Tests students' hearing aids to ensure proper functioning.
