Key Qualifications:
Valid SLP license and credentials appropriate for school-based practice Experience working with pediatric populations, ideally within educational settings Strong ability to assess, diagnose, and implement treatment plans for a variety of communication disorders Excellent interpersonal skills to collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams Adaptability to different school environments and diverse student needs
Responsibilities:
Conduct screenings, evaluations, and develop individualized education plans for students needing speech-language services Provide direct therapy to students, targeting speech, language, and communication deficits Maintain accurate records of assessments, progress, and communications, complying with applicable laws and guidelines Consult with educational staff and families to ensure consistency and generalization of skills across settings Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to interdisciplinary discussions to optimize student outcomes
