Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting an autism program at the elementary level. This position covers a maternity leave from August 17th to September 4th, offering steady, full-time hours (Monday through Friday, 9am-4:40pm) dedicated to make a pivotal impact on students' communication skills and growth. This is an onsite position focusing on providing Speech-Language Pathology expertise within a collaborative school environment.
Ideal Experience & Qualities:
Current SLP license and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required Background working in school settings, particularly elementary age students Experience with autism-spectrum caseloads, employing evidence-based strategies and individualized interventions Confidence developing and implementing IEPs, progress monitoring, and reporting Strong communication with students, teachers, and family members Flexible approach and the ability to adapt quickly to changing needs within the program
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver direct speech-language therapy to students within an autism program Conduct assessments and contribute to multidisciplinary teams Craft and update IEP goals; monitor and document student progress Communicate ongoing needs and successes with families and faculty Foster a supportive, inclusive environment for each learner Participate in staff meetings, providing professional insights as needed
