Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Make a difference working with elementary students as a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in the Blue Springs area. This contract opportunity is ideal for passionate professionals who enjoy a collaborative environment and are committed to helping each student thrive. With a flexible part-time schedule of 2-3 days per week, you'll work onsite with a manageable caseload of about 20 students, providing valuable speech and language services for the upcoming school year.
Qualifications:
Valid Speech-Language Pathology license for Missouri Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) Recent experience working within a school setting, particularly in elementary education Strong assessment, evaluation, and report-writing skills Excellent communication skills with students, colleagues, and families Ability to work onsite in a collaborative school environment
Key Responsibilities:
Evaluate and identify speech, language, and communication needs of assigned students Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and IEP goals Deliver speech and language therapy services individually or in small groups Collaborate with teachers, special educators, and families to support student progress Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, progress notes, and compliance reports Act as a resource to school staff, providing input on communication strategies within the classroom
