St. Joseph Medical Center - Kansas City, MO A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) specializes in diagnosing and treating speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders. SLPs work with individuals of all ages to improve communication skills and enhance quality of life by developing and implementing individualized treatment plans. Speech-Language Pathologists (SLP) work closely with other healthcare professionals and educate patients and family members about communication strategies to health improve speech in the patient's daily life. Competitive compensation Generous medical benefits plan 401K Responsibilities Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to): Assess and diagnose speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans. Provide therapy to improve articulation, fluency, voice disorders, and language comprehension. Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other relevant professionals. Maintain detailed records of patient evaluation, treatment, and progress. Educate clients and family members about communication strategies. Stay updated on clinical research and advances in speech-language pathology. Graduate of an accredited college or university with Bachelor's in Speech Therapy Licensed by the state in Speech-Language Pathology Current BLS for healthcare provider's certification upon hire and maintain current Additional Qualifications That Are aPlus:
