In this role, you will assess, diagnose, and treat residents in a wide variety of deficits including but not limited to dysphagia, cognition, speech and or communication difficulties and set up a plan of care for goals. This guaranteed 40-hour per week Full-time paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents while working within a supportive, collaborative environment. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to identify speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders in pediatric populations Develop individualized treatment plans based on physiological understanding of speech mechanisms and anatomy Deliver engaging therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based techniques tailored to each residents' needs Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate care strategies and ensure consistent patient support Monitor progress regularly, adjusting therapy approaches as necessary to maximize outcomes Maintain detailed documentation of patient evaluations, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries in compliance with medical terminology standards Educate families on home exercises and strategies to reinforce therapy goals outside clinical settings Experience Prior school experience working with geriatrics or clinical environments is highly preferred Demonstrate expertise in geriatric programs Strong knowledge of speech therapy techniques and patient care best practice for geriatric populations Familiarity with physiology related to speech production and swallowing functions Experience conducting patient assessments and interpreting medical terminology accurately Knowledge of anatomy relevant to speech and language processes is essential Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams to support holistic patient development We have three beautiful regions for this position, please apply with your resume, and call or text with your choice of region to schedule an interview. 816-429-0856 Region 1
