A Speech Language Pathologist diagnoses and treats speech, language, and swallowing disorders in patients with a variety of conditions. Helps patients improve their ability to make sounds or use language, or develop non-spoken means of communication. May specialize in working with patients of a certain age group, or treat speech problems resulting from a condition such as a stroke or cleft palate. Works in schools, hospitals and other healthcare facilities and works closely with physicians, psychologists, social workers, and other therapists.

Job Description

Big Bend Woods is a skilled nursing and long term care facility that is currently seeking PRN speech therapist. Ideal candidates will be certified in the state of Missouri with clinical experience in a long term care facility. Big Bend Woods strives to provide clinical excellence and compassionate care to our residents. Candidates should desire to be a part of a quality healthcare team with an emphasis on supporting the mission and vision of our facility in its efforts to support our residents, family members, and co-workers.
Job Function:
must be able to establish, assess, and modify realistic, measurable, timely, and functional goals participate in performance improvement activities within the department and participate in CQI activities must be able to follow speech therapy treatment plans for residents in accordance with Federal and State guidelines must be able to chart appropriately and timely Job requirements: must be licensed in state of Missouri experience in a long term health care facility We offer: competitive pay scale bi-weekly pay direct deposit
