Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available for the 2026/2027 school year in Hernando, MS. This contract position offers the chance to support students' communication development in a dynamic school environment.
Responsibilities:
Evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders in students. Create and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to students' specific needs. Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school professionals to support student progress. Document and track student progress according to school policies and state regulations. Provide consultation and training to staff and families to enhance communication strategies. Participate in team meetings and contribute to educational planning.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Valid state licensure or certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist. Experience working in school settings preferred. Strong assessment, evaluation, and treatment skills in pediatric speech and language disorders. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. Understanding of IDEA and other federal and state educational regulations.
Location:
This contract position is based in Hernando, Mississippi, serving students within the local school district throughout the 26/27 academic school year.
