Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist is needed to provide therapy services in a school setting located in Ayden, NC. This contract position will run from April 17, 2026, through June 10, 2026, serving elementary-aged students from Pre-K through 5th grade with various communication disorders. The work schedule aligns with school hours, Monday through Friday, from 7:45 AM to 3:15 PM, totaling 37.5 hours per week. The caseload includes approximately 50 students across two school sites within the same location—four days at one site and one day at the other.
Key responsibilities include:
Delivering speech and language therapy tailored to pediatric students with diverse communication needs Conducting screenings and evaluations as needed to support student progress Collaborating with educators and support staff to implement individualized education plans Documenting therapy sessions and maintaining accurate records Qualifications and desired experience: Certified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) Experience working in pediatric settings, particularly schools Background in managing caseloads of elementary-aged children with communication disorders Strong interpersonal and organizational skills for working across multiple sites This role offers the opportunity to make a positive impact on young learners' communication skills within a supportive educational environment.
