Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide expert speech therapy services to pediatric and early intervention patients in an office setting in Clayton, helping them improve communication skills and enhance their quality of life. Experience with school settings and pediatrics is highly valued. Duties Complete speech, language and feeding screenings and determine whether a full evaluation is warranted Administer formal and informal speech and language evaluations and clinical feeding and swallowing evaluations (if experienced in feeding) Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that are client-centered and integrate caregiver education and training on a regular basis Provide quality, direct therapeutic interventions to children to adequately support the treatment plan for the client in order to facilitate functional outcomes and goal achievement Provide treatment in the areas of speech, language, fluency, apraxia, articulation, social communication, voice, and/or feeding and swallowing disorders Complete SOAP notes for each therapy session documenting skilled interventions for each individualized therapy session in a timely manner and in compliance with company policy Update plans of care every 6 months and complete re-evaluations every 6-12 months Communicate effectively and professionally with clients, caseworkers and families for scheduling of evaluations, treatment sessions and ongoing care Provide caregiver education at each session Practice adequate safety awareness and clinical judgement to keep clients and therapist safe during treatments Maintain all documentation as dictated by state and funder guidelines complying with HIPAA regulations Adhere to frequency, duration and appropriate treatment guidelines Maintain professional competencies and technical skills in the area of speech language pathology to uphold essential job functions Uphold board and state licensure in line with ethical expectations for speech language pathology Participate in effective interdisciplinary communication to maximize client outcomes through a team approach (i.e. with

Requirements Active North Carolina Speech-Language Pathology License Current certificate of clinical competence (CCC) from ASHA Master's of Science/Arts or Doctorate Degree in Speech Pathology; degree from an accredited program per ASHA standards Ability to use basic computer skills and learn new software and web-based applications, including electronic medical records Must demonstrate a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude towards children and families Maintain a fun and compassionate disposition with an open mind geared toward learning Ability to communicate professionally and effectively both orally and in writing Experience with children with autism and other comorbidities preferred Feeding therapy experience preferred Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) experience preferred This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children by improving their communication abilities through specialized speech therapy services.
