Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a pivotal role working with elementary and middle school students as a Speech-Language Pathologist. This full-time, school-based position runs from August 13, 2026, to May 28, 2027, offering a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a vibrant educational setting. Ideal for professionals who thrive in collaborative environments and are passionate about developing students' communication skills, this contract position is exclusively onsite and aligned with regular school hours, Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 3:30pm (37.5 hours per week).
Desired Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Current, active North Carolina SLP license (required) Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) Successful experience providing speech-language services in schools preferred Ability to work effectively with elementary and middle school populations Excellent communication, organization, and documentation skills
Primary Responsibilities:
Conduct screenings, evaluations, and assessments for students in need of speech-language services Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each student's needs Deliver direct therapy and consultative services to students, focusing on enhancing speech, language, and communication abilities Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families for ongoing student support Maintain accurate records in compliance with state and federal guidelines Participate in IEP and staff meetings to support student progress Beyond the satisfaction of supporting students' growth, you'll benefit from a consistent daytime schedule and gain valuable school-based experience in a supportive environment.
