Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding role as a Speech Language Pathologist supporting K-12 students in a vibrant educational environment. This full-time, contract opportunity offers the chance to make a meaningful difference by providing essential speech and language services in a school setting. You'll collaborate with dedicated educators and families to help each student reach their communication goals for the 2026-2027 academic year, starting July 27, 2026 and continuing through June 4, 2027. The district is welcoming of both experienced clinicians and Clinical Fellows, and values professional growth and support.
Qualifications:
Active North Carolina Speech Language Pathologist license (or eligibility upon start) ASHA Certification (CCC-SLP) or eligibility Experience or training in a school environment preferred Comfortable managing a K-12 caseload with diverse student needs Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills Open to new graduates completing
Clinical Fellowship Year Responsibilities:
Screen, assess, and diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders for students in grades K-12 Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in accordance with IEPs Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to maximize student outcomes Maintain progress records, prepare reports, and participate in eligibility/IEP team meetings Provide training, guidance, and advocacy for students and staff as needed Foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
