Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Bring your expertise in special education to an impactful, rewarding setting! We're seeking an ELA Inclusion Teacher with a background in special education, ready to provide exceptional onsite support at the high school level. This contract position is ideal for professionals dedicated to empowering students and making a difference every day. This opportunity is available immediately and extends through July 2, 2027, offering a consistent 35-hour workweek with the summer extended school year not required. You'll be part of a collaborative team environment where your skills shape educational outcomes for students with diverse learning needs at the Northwest Collegiate Academy.
Qualifications and Experience:
Valid North Carolina EC (Exceptional Children) teaching credentials required Extensive experience as a Special Education Teacher, with a focus on ELA inclusion Proven ability to develop and deliver individualized instruction and support Strong knowledge of IEP processes and documentation Excellent communication, collaboration, and advocacy skills Commitment to fostering an inclusive, engaging, and supportive classroom
Key Responsibilities:
