A Speech Language Pathologist diagnoses and treats speech, language, and swallowing disorders in patients with a variety of conditions. Helps patients improve their ability to make sounds or use language, or develop non-spoken means of communication. May specialize in working with patients of a certain age group, or treat speech problems resulting from a condition such as a stroke or cleft palate. Works in schools, hospitals and other healthcare facilities and works closely with physicians, psychologists, social workers, and other therapists.

Most of this caseload is predominately 0-3, with a growing number of cases from 3-5 as well. We serve both early intervention and pediatric populations in daycares, homes, and pre-schools. We currently serve pediatric clients in 20 North Carolina counties, offering speech, OT, and developmental therapy services. Duties Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations for individuals across various age groups, including early intervention and school-aged populations Develop and implement personalized speech-language therapy plans tailored to each patient's needs and goals Deliver engaging therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based techniques for speech, language, articulation, fluency, voice, and cognitive-communication disorders Collaborate closely with families, caregivers, teachers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure cohesive treatment approaches and optimal patient outcomes Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, treatment progress notes, and therapy plans within Electronic Medical Records (EMR) or Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems Provide telehealth therapy sessions utilizing secure platforms to reach patients in remote or underserved areas Educate patients and families on strategies to support communication development and facilitate carry-over of skills into daily life Requirements Valid licensure as an SLP or SLPA in the state of practice; SLPs must hold a master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Experience working with pediatric populations is highly preferred; familiarity with early intervention programs is a plus Strong knowledge of speech-language pathology principles, anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology relevant to communication disorders Demonstrated ability to perform patient assessments and develop comprehensive speech and language evaluations Experience implementing speech therapy plans for individuals with disabilities or speech impairments across diverse settings such as schools or clinics Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems for documentation; telehealth experience is desirable Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams and with parents or caregivers Knowledge of working with geriatric patients or individuals with complex medical needs is advantageous Join us in delivering impactful speech-language services that transform lives!
