Key Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program. Current, unrestricted SLP license (or eligibility) for North Carolina. Prior experience in a hospital or healthcare environment preferred. Strong assessment, diagnostic, and therapeutic skills with diverse patient populations. Excellent communication and documentation abilities. Ability to adapt to changing patient needs and facility protocols.
Primary Responsibilities:
Conduct patient evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans. Provide speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing therapy to patients across various conditions. Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams. Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with hospital standards. Educate patients and their families on therapeutic goals and strategies for ongoing progress. Participate in staff meetings and continuing education for ongoing skill development.
