We're searching for enthusiastic, qualified Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) to provide invaluable support for schools near Lexington and Mocksville, NC for the 2026-2027 academic year. This full-time contract opportunity begins in the fall and runs through the end of the school year, comprising two consecutive assignments that seamlessly transitionmaking it ideal for a professional seeking long-term continuity.
Key Qualifications & Preferred Experience:
Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or eligibility for Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) Active or eligible state licensure Experience with pediatric populations and school-based services Familiarity with communication devices and supporting students in self-contained settings Ability to work collaboratively within interdisciplinary teams Strong organizational and caseload management skills
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide therapy and assessment for a variety of speech, language, and communication disorders From October to December 2026: Serve 2 days per week in a middle school and 2 days in an elementary school; manage a caseload of approximately 45 students, including support for self-contained classrooms utilizing communication devices From January to June 2027: Transition to an elementary setting, overseeing a caseload of about 55 students Document therapy sessions, progress, and maintain compliance with federal, state, and local guidelines Consult with teachers, staff, and families to optimize student outcomes and facilitate individualized support plans
