Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact as a contract Speech-Language Pathologist in a vibrant educational community near Midland, NC. This opportunity allows you to support students across elementary, middle, and high school levels, providing invaluable expertise in communication and speech therapy.
Qualifications and Preferred Background:
Active state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Certification as required for school settings Experience working with students in elementary, middle, or high school environments Strong understanding of speech, language, and communication disorders Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, teachers, and families Adaptable and organized, with excellent written and verbal communication skills
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for students with a variety of speech and language needs Deliver direct therapy services through individual or group sessions Consult with educators, parents, and support staff to integrate speech/language goals into the classroom Monitor and document student progress, adjusting interventions as needed Participate in IEP meetings and provide professional recommendations Stay current on best practices, state guidelines, and continuing education for school-based
