This opportunity focuses on supporting children and teens across elementary, middle, and high school levels. Your expertise will empower students in diverse school environments to overcome communication barriers and reach their academic and social goals.
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
Hold an active state license as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred Experience working with students in elementary, middle, and high school settings Skilled in providing direct therapy, developing IEPs, and collaborating with educational teams Strong communication and organizational abilities Flexibility to adapt to different student needs and school environments
Key Responsibilities:
Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders among K-12 students Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's unique needs Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and support staff to ensure comprehensive care and student progress Guide students and families through the therapy process and provide educational counseling when needed Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in accordance with district and state guidelines Participate in school meetings to advocate for students and share insights into best practices
