Category Therapy - Hospital - SLP Job Type Contract A Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available in Murfreesboro, NC, primarily focused on outpatient care with some acute care responsibilities. This contract assignment offers a chance to work in a dynamic hospital environment where pediatric and adult outpatient caseloads dominate, with pediatric patients comprising 70% of the outpatient duties. Acute care responsibilities involve adult patients and require proficiency in Videofluoroscopic Swallow Study (VFSS). Responsibilities Provide speech language pathology services primarily in outpatient settings (90% outpatient). Manage a caseload that includes 70% pediatric and 30% adult patients in outpatient care. Deliver acute care services focused on adult patients, including performing VFSS assessments. Participate in on-call rotation every third weekend, covering Saturday and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. for NPO orders. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care. Qualifications Licensed to practice Speech Language Pathology in the state of North Carolina. Demonstrated proficiency in VFSS techniques and acute adult care. Ability to commit to a 40-hour workweek, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Flexibility to be on-call every third weekend as specified. This role offers a guaranteed minimum of 36 work hours weekly, with actual hours typically reaching 40 per week. The assignment is a 13-week contract with the potential for extension. The facility provides navy scrubs to all clinicians. Candidates within an 80-mile radius are encouraged to apply; an initial screening will be conducted for those 50-80 miles away.
