Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Make a meaningful difference in the lives of students by bringing your expertise as a Speech-Language Pathologist to a dynamic school setting near Newton Grove, NC. This contract position offers a unique chance to support children and young adults as they develop crucial communication skills—empowering them to succeed both academically and socially.
Key Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Active state licensure as an SLP (Speech-Language Pathologist) Previous experience in a school environment is highly valued Strong background in assessment, treatment planning, and individualized education program (IEP) development Excellent communication, time management, and collaboration abilities Familiarity with augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) a plus Passion for working with diverse student populations and their families
Responsibilities:
Assess and diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders among students Develop tailored therapy plans and provide direct intervention to meet each child's unique needs Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and collaborate with teachers, staff, and families Document progress, maintain accurate records, and ensure compliance with state and federal guidelines Provide training and resources to teachers and staff on supporting students with speech/language needs Contribute to IEP meetings and help design effective strategies to foster student growth You'll thrive in an engaging school culture that values innovation, teamwork, and student-centered care.
