ASAP About the Position Job Title Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) Location Peoria, IL Schedule / Job Type Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Days (7:30 AM - 4:00 PM) Key Responsibilities Assess and provide intervention to guide individualized feeding plans for preterm and medically complex infants within a Level 4 NICU settingDeliver care using a neuro-protective, trauma-informed, and family-centered modelConduct swallowing evaluations and manage dysphagia in the inpatient pediatric populationEvaluate patient capabilities, develop treatment plans, and monitor patient progressComplete clinical documentation using EPIC electronic health records systemCollaborate with interdisciplinary care teams; may occasionally support

units based on experience Required Qualifications Master's degree in Speech-Language PathologyActive Illinois SLP license, or confirmation that the application process has been initiatedCertificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) awarded by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)Demonstrated NICU experience with a strong focus on feeding of preterm and medically complex infantsDysphagia experience requiredMust be able to comply with a drug-free workplace policy, including a negative drug screen Preferred Experience / Skills Previous clinical experience as a practicing Speech-Language Pathologist in an inpatient acute care settingExperience working in a PICU or NICU environment beyond feeding-focused careStrong analytical ability to administer and evaluate standardized speech and language assessmentsProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and computerized charting platforms Why Join Us Work within a specialized, high-acuity Level 4 NICU environment, providing meaningful care to some of the most vulnerable pediatric patientsJoin a collaborative, interdisciplinary team committed to neuro-protective and family-centered care practices
