Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact by empowering students to reach their fullest communication potential in an established school district in North Carolina. This contract position offers the chance to collaborate with a supportive team, deliver high-quality speech-language services, and benefit from district-provided supervision if you're a Clinical Fellow (SLP-CF). The district is open to full-time professionals, with flexibility on caseload preferences and a supportive approach to matching candidates with the students who best fit their experience.
Key Qualifications:
Active Speech-Language Pathology licensure in North Carolina is required Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology SLP-CCC or SLP-CF status accepted (district supervision available) Experience working with students diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (AU) and low cognitive disabilities is preferred Prior school-based SLP experience is a plus SLPA certification not accepted at this time
Role Highlights:
Serve up to 35 students on your caseload Collaborate closely with educators, families, and other allied professionals Provide direct and consultative speech-language therapy services as outlined in IEPs Conduct comprehensive assessments, develop intervention plans, and monitor progress Opportunity to work in the vibrant East or Southern areas of the district Flexible caseload assignments, matching your preferences and expertise Contract dates: August 2026 to June 2027, full-time hours (35-37.5 per week) You'll find the district values strong communication and encourages creative, compassionate professionals to thrive while providing tailored educational support to every child.
