Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding full-time contract position as a Speech-Language Pathologist for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year. Based in an elementary school setting, you'll provide essential speech and language services to a diverse group of approximately 43 students, making a direct and lasting difference in their academic and personal development. This role spans Monday through Friday, 37.5 hours weekly, beginning August 10, 2026, through May 28, 2027. You'll have the opportunity to collaborate with dedicated educators and families, creating tailored intervention strategies that foster growth and progress in young learners.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) required Expertise in pediatric and school-based speech therapy Relevant background in SLP within healthcare or educational settings is highly valued Strongly prefer candidates already licensed as an SLP in North Carolina Proven record of effective therapy with school-aged children Excellent communication and documentation skills

Core Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive evaluations to determine student needs Develop and implement individualized treatment plans targeting communication goals Deliver engaging, evidence-based therapy services to elementary-aged children on your caseload Maintain accurate records, prepare progress reports, and participate in IEP meetings Consult with teachers and parents, providing actionable strategies for classroom and at-home progress Stay current with best practices in pediatric
