Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a fulfilling contract opportunity supporting elementary and middle school students as a Speech-Language Pathologist for the upcoming academic year. Your expertise can make a tangible difference, helping students thrive academically and socially in a collaborative school environment. This position follows a convenient Monday-Friday schedule, 8:00am to 3:30pm, for a total of 37.5 hours each week, and runs from August 13, 2026, through May 28, 2027.
Key Qualifications:
Active North Carolina SLP license required ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred School-based SLP experience, particularly with elementary and middle school age groups Strong communication skills and adaptability to work effectively onsite Ability to collaborate with teachers, staff, and families in developing student success plans
Core Responsibilities:
Deliver speech, language, and communication therapy to students, onsite only Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine individual student needs Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in partnership with the educational team Maintain thorough, accurate documentation and progress reports Participate in IEP meetings and contribute clinical insights for comprehensive student support Provide consultative support to teachers and caregivers to maximize student achievement Uphold ethical standards and confidentiality requirements throughout service delivery You'll experience the rewards of supporting a diverse caseload in a welcoming school community, building lasting professional relationships, and having a measurable impact throughout the school year.
