Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into an impactful contract opportunity supporting elementary and middle school students as a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist. Play a vital role in fostering communication growth and academic success for young learners throughout the full school year. This position will be full-time, with a Monday through Friday schedule, 8:00 am to 3:30 pm, offering a consistent 37.5-hour workweek. Working onsite, your expertise will help shape positive educational outcomes in a diverse and dynamic school environment from August 13, 2026, through May 28, 2027.
Key Qualifications:
Active Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) license issued by the state of North Carolina Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) Experience working in school-based settings preferred - experience with both elementary and middle school caseloads a plus Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, support staff, students, and families Willingness to participate fully in an onsite capacity
Role Responsibilities:
Conduct screenings, evaluations, and assessments to identify speech/language disorders Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students requiring speech/language support Deliver direct and consultative SLP services tailored to individual student needs Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student achievement Maintain thorough and accurate records in accordance with district and state requirements Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to team-based planning Step forward into a rewarding role where you'll support students' communication and learning journey, all while growing as a professional in a supportive school environment.
