We are looking for a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team and carry out our mission to provide the highest level of care, education, and support to our clients and their families. Link to Communication, LLC, provides the most up-to-date therapy to serve clients with myofunctional disorders, articulation disorders, and swallowing disorders. SLP will also work with clients who experience language disorders, pragmatic disorders, autism, voice disorders, fluency disorders, and AAC devices. The SLP is responsible for completing administrative tasks including keeping accurate records of initial evaluations, diagnoses, treatment progress and treatment plan notes. In addition, they are responsible for: Evaluating myofunctional, swallowing, speech and language difficulty. Identifying treatment options. Identifying referral sources. Creating and carrying out individualized treatment plans addressing specific functional needs. Teaching clients how to make sounds while improving their voices and maintaining fluency. Helping individuals improve sentence structure and vocabulary used in written and oral language. Working with adults and children in developing and strengthening muscles used to swallow. Counseling clients and families on ways to cope with myofunctional, swallowing and communication disorders. Skills and qualifications Skills and qualifications that will assist individuals looking to enter into a career at Link to Communication, LLC, include: Analytical skills for selecting the best diagnostic tools and analyzing results to identify an accurate diagnosis while developing an effective treatment plan. Strong communication skills for communicating diagnoses, test results and available treatments in terms that clients and their families can understand. Creating appropriate goals and attention to detail in note writing and coding. Compassion when working with individuals frustrated by the difficulties they are experiencing. Critical thinking skills for adjusting treatment plans as required and identifying alternative ways to help. Excellent attention to detail for maintaining notes on treatment and progress. Outstanding organization skills. Timely completion of notes and evaluations as well as start and end session times. Excellent listening skills for listening to concerns and symptoms of clients so they can decide the most appropriate course of treatment. Confident with teletherapy. Team player and demonstrates flexibility. Be willing to take on more responsibility if requested. Positive attitude to clients, families, and team members. Excited to learn and a desire to continue to learn. Speech Pathologist education and training requirements Master's degree 1+ years of experience State license Preferably Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) administered by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. Excellent time management skills. Team player. A desire to continue to grow and take on additional responsibilities. A desire to team with multiple disciplines (OT, PT, orthodontists, dentists, etc.). Willing to work after school hours. Potential for growth opportunities.
