the minimum pay rate (new grad rate) is $43.31and will increase based on experience. Job Summary Exciting per diem opportunity to join our Speech Therapy Team at Wentworth-Douglass Hospital in Dover, NH!Note:
the minimum pay rate (new grad rate) is $43.31and will increase based on experience. Acute care experience required. Minimum of 2 weekend days/month (may be non-consecutive). Weekday hours available. Summary Responsible to assess, diagnose, treat and help prevent speech, language, cognitive-communication, voice, swallowing, fluency and other related disorders. Does this position require Patient Care? Yes Essential Functions- Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and goals.
- Implement treatment plans through a variety of techniques and modalities.
- Monitor and document patient progress, adjust treatment plans as needed.
- Educate patients and their families about speech and language disorders, and provide strategies for improving communication.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible patient outcomes. Qualifications Education Master's Degree Speech Therapy required Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree? No Licenses and Credentials Speech-language Pathologist [State License]

- Familiarity of diagnostic assessments for speech language.
- Employee must have strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to incorporate new clinical procedures sufficiently to perform clinical services independently.
- Ability to perform functions associated with contemporary audiology and speech-language pathology scope of practice.
- Understanding the implications of new information for both current and future problem-solving and decision-making.
