  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations of clients' speech, language, and swallowing abilities.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans for communication disorders.
  • Administer therapy services for articulation, fluency, voice, and language disorders.
  • Treat swallowing (dysphagia) disorders and eating difficulties.
  • Develop and implement augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) strategies.
  • Document patient progress and modify treatment plans as needed.
  • Consult with physicians, educators, and family members.
  • Educate families about communication disorders.
  • Maintain accurate clinical records.
  • Stay current with evidence-based practices. Certifications/Requirements
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA required.
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field from CAA-accredited program required.
  • State licensure (Speech-Language Pathologist License or Certificate) required.
  • CPR/BLS certification. Experience
  • Master's degree or higher in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders from CAA-accredited program (2-3 years).
  • Minimum 400 supervised clinical hours (325 hours during graduate program).
  • Pass Praxis examination for SLP (score 162 minimum for ASHA).
  • Complete Clinical Fellowship Year (36 weeks minimum, 1,260 hours).
