Pediatric School Speech and Language Pathologist | Bloomfield, New Jersey Soliant - 3.9 Bloomfield, NJ Job Details $47.13 - $67.13 an hour 2 days ago Qualifications Master's degree in speech-language pathology (SLP) Master's degree Speech-Language Pathology License Full Job Description Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Step into a dynamic school-based Speech Language Pathologist role, supporting a diverse population of young learners near Bloomfield, NJ. This opportunity covers a maternity leave starting May 29th through June, with the potential to resume September through November 23, 2026, for the regular school year. Additionally, there is the option to support the Extended School Year (ESY) program during July and August, which may include PreK or other caseload variations. The current caseload consists of 27 individual students, with more incoming through Early Intervention referrals. In this position, you'll provide comprehensive evaluations, targeted treatment sessions, and actively participate in IEP meetings. Experience with augmentative communication devices is especially valued, as you'll have a central role in supporting students who require alternative and assistive communication systems.
Qualifications and Experience:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, with valid state licensure and ASHA CCC or CFY eligibility Demonstrated experience in a pediatric and/or educational setting Skilled in teletherapy, individual therapy sessions, and group interventions Knowledge of Early Intervention services and IEP documentation Familiarity with augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices is highly preferred Strong communication, organizational, and collaborative skills
Role Responsibilities:
Deliver evaluations and evidence-based speech/language therapy to a PreK and elementary caseload Create and implement individualized treatment plans in line with IEPs Maintain detailed reporting and participate in meetings and team consultations Collaborate closely with educators, families, and other professionals Adjust modalities as needed, including in-person and potential teletherapy service delivery If you're an enthusiastic SLP ready to have a positive impact during a critical time for students, we invite you to apply today and help support developing communication skills in young learners!
