Category Schools - SLP Job Type All Job Types Exciting summer opportunities are available for skilled and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologists who enjoy making a positive impact within a school setting. If you specialize in pediatric speech therapy and thrive in collaborative environments, these positions could be a fantastic fit for your expertise. Opportunities include two distinct ESY (Extended School Year) roles:
ESY Speech Teacher:
Typical hours are 8:00am-1:00pm, but a flexible start time (such as 9:30am-1:00pm) can be accommodated to suit your schedule. This position runs from June 29th to July 30th and generally does not require work on Fridays, nor every day within the period. ESY CST (Child Study Team)Staff:
This vital summer role involves conducting evaluations and participating in meetings. The CST schedules evaluations and meetings from July 1st through August 30th, typically avoiding Fridays, with a variable day-to-day schedule based on needs. Attendance is on an as-needed basis, offering great flexibility.Ideal candidates will bring:
Active state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist, Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) welcome, CCC strongly preferred Experience working with children in a school or pediatric setting Strong interpersonal and communication skills for collaborating with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams Ability to perform speech/language evaluations, develop IEP goals, and deliver engaging therapy sessions Flexibility and organization to navigate varying schedules and caseloads Responsibilities include: Delivering direct speech and language therapy to students Conducting assessments and developing intervention plans Participating in child study team meetings Maintaining clear and timely documentation Collaborating with school staff and families to support students' progress These summer placements offer a unique chance to shape young learners' communication skills while enjoying flexible scheduling and a supportive, dynamic environment.
