Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Make a meaningful difference working as a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist in a dynamic school environment near Elizabeth, NJ. This contract position begins immediately and runs through mid-June, offering you the opportunity to provide essential speech and language services to students in need of support during the academic year.
Key Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders Active ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) status State SLP licensure (or eligibility) for school-based practice Experience working in pediatric populations, especially in educational or healthcare settings Familiarity with various service delivery models, including in-person and teletherapy Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills Adaptable to diverse student caseloads and educational needs
Core Responsibilities:
Deliver comprehensive speech and language therapy services to a caseload of students Conduct assessment, diagnosis, and individual education planning (IEP) documentation Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to maximize student progress Support students individually and in small groups, using evidence-based practices Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and multidisciplinary team discussions Utilize teletherapy platforms as needed to ensure continuity of care Maintain thorough records and comply with state, federal, and district guidelines
