Category Schools - SLP Job Type All Job Types Expand your impact this summer working with students in a dynamic educational setting close to Elizabeth, NJ. Two exciting opportunities are available for Speech-Language Pathologists (SLP) with expertise in schools, pediatrics, and healthcare, including those holding or pursuing their Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY). This is the perfect chance to support Extended School Year (ESY) programs while making a meaningful difference.
Qualifications & Experience Sought:
Current or progressing towards SLP-CCC or SLP-CFY Experience or strong interest in school-based or pediatric speech therapy Skilled in evaluation, individualized intervention, and collaborative communication Comfortable working flexibly within evolving ESY schedules Dedication to supporting communication and language development in diverse student populations
Role Highlights:
ESY Speech Teacher:
Hands-on therapy and intervention services, typically 8am-1pm, with schedule flexibility (i.e., 9:30am-1pm). This assignment runs 6/29-7/30, Monday through Thursday (Fridays off), and may not require daily presence. ESY Child Study Team (CST)
SLP:
Summer responsibilities include conducting student speech/language evaluations and participating in evaluations and meetings, scheduled between 7/1-8/30. Most duties will fall between Monday and Thursday, with potential for flexible, non-daily commitments. Collaborate with educational staff, families, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive speech-language services. Contribute to documentation, progress monitoring, and compliance with educational plans.
