Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting students as a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist this fall. This contract position begins in September 2026 for a 12-week maternity leave assignment, offering experience in dynamic school environments. With three openings across elementary settings, you'll work directly with preschool and K-5 populations, including specialized caseloads with a high number of students with autism.
Key qualifications:
Active New Jersey Speech-Language Pathologist License Valid NJ Speech-Language Specialist (SLS) Certification Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) highly preferred; Clinical Fellows (CFs) considered if you can secure outside supervision School-based SLP experience, particularly with preschool and autism populations, is a plus Passion for collaborative, student-centered practice Comfortable working onsite throughout the contract Your responsibilities will include: Providing direct speech-language therapy to elementary students, focusing on communication disorders and diverse learning needs Serving as a resource to teaching staff, offering expertise around individualized education programs (IEPs) Thorough documentation of student progress and adherence to all compliance requirements Active participation in IEP meetings and collaboration with teachers, staff, and families Adapting therapy techniques to support students with various developmental levels, especially those on the autism spectrum This is a full-time, 35+ hour per week contract assignment across two elementary schools and one additional location (TBD), each offering the rewarding challenge of working with preschool and K-5th grade students.
