Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Exciting contract opportunities are available for Speech-Language Pathologists seeking a meaningful role in educational settings near Elizabeth, NJ for the Fall 2026 term. Three full-time positions will support elementary students at multiple locations, with assignments beginning in September and lasting 12 weeks. Each SLP will work onsite, collaborating with committed teams and directly impacting student communication and development.
Openings include:
Two elementary school roles (serving K-5th, including preschool populations) with a strong focus on students with Autism. A third position will be assigned to a school location, details forthcoming. Each assignment offers more than 35 hours per week.
Qualifications & Experience:
Active New Jersey SLP License, plus NJ SLS (Speech-Language Specialist) Certification. ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) strongly preferred. Clinical Fellows are welcome, provided external supervision is arranged (district cannot provide supervision). Experience working with children on the Autism spectrum and preschool-aged students is highly valued. SLPAs will not be considered for these roles.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver individualized and group speech-language therapy sessions to elementary and preschool-aged students. Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders. Maintain thorough and timely documentation of services. Work collaboratively with educators, families, and other specialists to promote student success. Adapt therapy approaches for students with diverse needs, including high Autism populations.
