Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type All Job Types Step into a rewarding opportunity to support young learners as a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist. This position focuses on providing services for Pre-K students during maternity leave coverage from May through June, with the possibility of returning for the upcoming school year through November 23, 2026. There's also an option to continue with Extended School Year (ESY) programs during July and August, where caseloads may include Pre-K students or expand to other grade levels. You'll work with a diverse and growing caseload—currently 27 children seen one-on-one—with additional students joining from Early Intervention programs. The role encompasses assessment, individualized treatment planning, conducting therapy sessions, and active participation in IEP meetings. Experience with augmentative communication devices is highly valued, helping to meet the unique needs of each student.
Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Valid state licensure and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or eligibility for CFY Expertise working in school or pediatric healthcare environments Experience with teletherapy and Early Intervention services is beneficial Familiarity with augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices Strong communication and collaboration skills, particularly in IEP development and meetings
Responsibilities:
Deliver individualized and evidence-based speech therapy to students, primarily in Pre-K Conduct evaluations and document progress in compliance with school and federal requirements Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and families Adjust therapy modalities based on student needs, utilizing both in-person and teletherapy practices Support students transitioning into or from Early Intervention services Be a difference-maker for children during these critical months and help shape their future communication success.
