A Speech Language Pathologist diagnoses and treats speech, language, and swallowing disorders in patients with a variety of conditions. Helps patients improve their ability to make sounds or use language, or develop non-spoken means of communication. May specialize in working with patients of a certain age group, or treat speech problems resulting from a condition such as a stroke or cleft palate. Works in schools, hospitals and other healthcare facilities and works closely with physicians, psychologists, social workers, and other therapists.

Job Description

Job Title:
School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP-CCC)
Location:
Metuchen, New Jersey Schedule:
35+ hours per week
Position Overview:
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) to join a school-based team serving elementary-aged students. These positions focus on supporting students with diverse communication needs, including a high population of children with Autism and preschool-aged learners.
Student Population:
Grades:
Preschool through 5th grade (K-5) High Autism population Mixed caseload including preschool students
Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Active New Jersey SLP license (or eligibility) Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred Clinical Fellows (CFs) are welcome to apply with secured external supervision Please note: The district is unable to provide supervision for CFs SLPAs will not be considered for this role
Schedule & Hours:
Full-time positions (35+ hours per week) School-based calendar

Provide speech and language therapy services to students Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports Why Apply?
