Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a dynamic school-based environment as a contract Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for the upcoming academic term, working full-time near Newark, NJ. This opportunity runs from September 28, 2026, through April 12 or 19, 2027, offering a meaningful way to make an impact in pediatric settings within schools.
Key Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Valid SLP Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) Current state licensure (or eligibility) for practice as an SLP Background in pediatric speech and language evaluation and therapy Experience working within educational or healthcare systems, specifically serving school-age children Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
What You'll Do:
Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments for students Develop and implement individualized treatment plans targeting communication, language, and swallowing disorders Collaborate with teachers, educational staff, and parents to support students' academic and social success Document progress, maintain required records, and participate in IEP meetings Deliver both individual and group therapy based on each student's needs Provide consultative support for classroom modifications and strategies Stay current with practices in school-based speech-language therapy and comply with all applicable regulations
