Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type All Job Types Step into a rewarding opportunity to support Pre-K students as a Speech-Language Pathologist, covering a maternity leave assignment with an immediate start through June 25. You'll play a vital role working 37.5 hours per week, making an impact on young learners near Paterson, NJ. Bring your passion for pediatric speech-language therapy and your expertise in school-based settings to help students develop essential communication skills. Whether you're an experienced SLP-CCC, Clinical Fellow (CFY), or a clinician with pediatric healthcare experience, your commitment will help shape early academic success.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders Active SLP license in New Jersey, or eligibility to obtain one Experience working with Pre-K or elementary-aged children preferred SLP-CCC, CFY, and school-based clinicians encouraged to apply Strong knowledge of assessment, intervention, and progress-monitoring in schools Collaborative, flexible approach and excellent communication skills
Key Responsibilities:
Provide speech and language therapy for Pre-K students in accordance with IEP goals Conduct screenings, evaluations, and develop tailored intervention plans Collaborate closely with teachers, families, and allied professionals Maintain accurate, timely documentation of student progress Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions Utilize engaging, evidence-based techniques to foster student growth This assignment is a chance to contribute meaningfully in a school community and refine your expertise in pediatric speech-language services.
