Helps patients improve their ability to make sounds or use language, or develop non-spoken means of communication. May specialize in working with patients of a certain age group, or treat speech problems resulting from a condition such as a stroke or cleft palate. Works in schools, hospitals and other healthcare facilities and works closely with physicians, psychologists, social workers, and other therapists.

Job Description

Bring your expertise as a Speech-Language Pathologist to a vibrant school setting, making a lasting impact on students from Pre-K through 3rd grade. This is a full-time, contract position covering a maternity leave, ideal for professionals passionate about supporting young learners' communication and language development.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Valid SLP state license and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or eligibility Demonstrated experience working with pediatric populations, preferably within school environments Familiarity with IEP processes, speech/language assessment, and data-driven intervention planning Strong collaboration and communication skills with educators, parents, and support staff

Key Responsibilities:

Assess, diagnose, and provide therapy for students with speech, language, and communication disorders Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with IEP goals for students in Pre-K through 3rd grade Collaborate with classroom teachers to incorporate speech/language strategies into daily instruction Maintain thorough documentation of progress, maintaining compliance with school and state guidelines Communicate regularly with families and multidisciplinary teams regarding students' needs and progress Participate in IEP meetings, contributing expertise to help each student thrive academically and socially Enjoy the opportunity to work in a supportive school community dedicated to student growth and achievement during this critical period of development.
