Job Description

Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Step into an impactful contract opportunity supporting students in vibrant educational settings this fall. Multiple SLP positions are open to enthusiastic professionals looking to make a difference during maternity leave coverage, beginning September for 12 weeks and offering over 35 hours per week onsite. You'll play a key role in fostering communication and language skills for K-5 students, including dedicated support for preschool and elementary-aged children, many with Autism Spectrum Disorder. These roles span two welcoming elementary schools, with one additional placement yet to be determined. CCC-SLPs are preferred for these assignments, while clinical fellows may be considered if you can secure external supervision. SLPAs are not eligible at this time.
Qualifications and Experience:
Active NJ SLP License and valid NJ SLS Certification required
ASHA CCC-SLP
strongly preferred; CFs may apply (external supervision necessary) Demonstrated school-based SLP experience, including with Autism and preschool populations, highly valued Excellent communication, collaboration, and documentation abilities Passion for supporting diverse learners and working with multidisciplinary teams Commitment to on-site hours only
What You'll Do:
Deliver individualized and group therapy in accordance with IEP goals Conduct speech-language and communication assessments Collaborate with teachers, special educators, and families Maintain thorough records of treatment and progress Develop evidence-based plans tailored to student needs This assignment runs fall semester, providing the chance to work full-time within supportive and engaging school communities.
