Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into an exciting opportunity as a School-Based Speech Language Pathologist, supporting elementary students for the 26/27 school year. This full-time, contract role is perfect for a dedicated SLP with a passion for helping young learners reach their communication goals in a collaborative environment. As a key member of the educational team, you will:
Desired Skills and Experience:
Active New Mexico SLP license Current New Mexico Public Education Department (PED) certification Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) School-based SLP experience preferred, ideally with elementary populations Strong interpersonal and communication skills for working with students, parents, educators, and administrators
Role Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive speech and language assessments, conduct evaluations, and interpret results to guide individualized planning Support a diverse elementary school caseload with evidence-based therapy tailored to students' unique needs Collaborate closely with teachers, district staff, and families to deliver coordinated care and effective interventions Participate in and contribute to IEP meetings, developing goals and progress reports in accordance with federal and state mandates Document services, maintain compliance with required procedures, and advocate for students' communication needs This is your chance to make a genuine difference in the lives of children, empowering students to find their voices and succeed academically and socially.
