Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract A Speech-Language Pathologist opportunity is available in a K-12 school serving mainly elementary students with some high school inclusion. This contract position extends through the 2025-2026 school year, running September to June. In this role, you will manage a caseload of approximately 28 students, delivering comprehensive assessment, therapy, and collaborative services. Working closely with educators and families, you will foster an inclusive and supportive environment that promotes students' speech and language development.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough speech and language assessments and develop individualized therapy plans Provide direct, tailored therapy services to meet diverse student needs Collaborate with teachers and school staff to implement accommodations and modifications Monitor and document student progress; adjust interventions accordingly Actively participate in IEP meetings, contributing to goal development and review Offer guidance and support to parents and caregivers regarding communication strategies
Qualifications:
Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology Valid state SLP license or eligibility to obtain licensure Experience working with school-aged children preferred Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a collaborative approach Knowledge of IEP procedures and current educational laws
Location & Schedule:
This position follows the academic calendar, with scheduled hours and vacations aligned to the school year in a scenic Upstate New York community.
