A Speech Language Pathologist diagnoses and treats speech, language, and swallowing disorders in patients with a variety of conditions. Helps patients improve their ability to make sounds or use language, or develop non-spoken means of communication. May specialize in working with patients of a certain age group, or treat speech problems resulting from a condition such as a stroke or cleft palate. Works in schools, hospitals and other healthcare facilities and works closely with physicians, psychologists, social workers, and other therapists.

Job Description

Work Where You Can Make an IMPACT Aspire of WNY is seeking a per diem Speech Pathology Supervisor. This position would be approximately 10 hours per week. At Aspire, we are driven by the core belief that children and adults with developmental disabilities have the right to realize their full potential and live as independently as possible. Aspire compassionately and relentlessly works toward facilitating this end. Primary responsibility is to support supervision of staff SLPs and evaluate and assess speech, language and communication abilities and limitations using standardized and non-standardized procedures; develops and implements treatment plans.
Responsibilities:
Foster a collaborative and supportive working environment among speech therapy staff. Lead and coordinate staff in our clinical programs/services
Required:
Master's degree in Speech Pathology NY State Speech Therapist license ASHA certification of Clinical Competence or eligibility required.
Rate of Pay:
$50.00 per hour EOE.
Expected hours:
6 - 10 per week
